Be Careful How You Listen

Greetings to all, on this blessed Sunday, let us start and end our day with God by quietening our minds to hear His words so that all will be well, we can grow in Him and honor Him. Amen

How well do you listen? There is a definite and significant value in hearing the word of God. Not only are we to hear, but it is also important that we listen to understand and do what the word of God says.

Deuteronomy 12:28 (KJV)

28 Observe and hear all these words which I command thee, that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee forever, when thou doest that which is good and right in the sight of the LORD thy God.

Mark 4:22-24 (GW)

22 There is nothing hidden that will not be revealed. There is nothing kept secret that will not come to light.

23 Let the person who has ears listen!"

24 He went on to say, "Pay attention to what you're listening to! {Knowledge} will be measured out to you by the measure {of attention} you give. This is the way knowledge increases.

Luke 8:18 (GW)

18 "So pay attention to how you listen! Those who understand {these mysteries} will be given {more Knowledge}. However, some people don't understand {these mysteries}. Even what they think they understand will be taken away from them."

Lesson: When we take heed, listen carefully and effectively, we can hear the knocking of Jesus on the doors of our hearts through the words of God. He desires to come into our lives forever.
