Women @ the Well, on this "hump" day Wednesday, let us trust God for the faith and the courage to follow Jesus every day. Not to make things easy but that He makes all things possible. Amen.
Life can be unpredictable in a way that makes us feel confused and impatient about who we are and what God wants us to do. It's easy to sometimes feel impatient or confused about our day-to-day life and the occupations we've either chosen or find ourselves. Jesus desires to meet each of us just where we are in our life.
Matthew 4:19-20 (GW)
19 Jesus said to them, "Come, follow me! I will teach you how to catch people instead of fish."
20 They immediately left their nets and followed him.
We often read about Jesus and how He taught the many lessons about living life through the simplicity of using fish or fishing. We may not be professional fishermen like the disciples Jesus called when He walked on earth. But, the lesson for us is that no matter what our education, occupation, Jesus is calling us to follow Him.
Lesson: When we follow Jesus, we don't have to worry about who or where we are in life. As God's children, He wants us to allow Him to do something new in us; He wants us to follow the example of Jesus and be a fisher of men.
