Anchored in Christ

Greetings to all. As this week ends, may our roots in Christ keep us.

Each day, we may encounter people who seem to enjoy seeing us face challenges. In these moments, we try to make sense of where we are and wonder about our direction in life. But when difficulties arise, just as a tree facing a storm, it is our roots that keep us strong and from being uprooted.

Jeremiah 17:8 (KJV 1900)

8For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.

Lesson: Getting through this week, despite challenges, shows how our deep roots keep us steady. As the African proverb says, "When the roots are deep, there is no reason to fear the wind."
