Morning Coffee, Spiritual Renewal

Greetings to all. As we start this Friday and wrap up the week, I hope we all feel the Holy Spirit awakening both our bodies and our souls.

Many of us have a morning ritual of pouring a cup of coffee, enjoying its warmth, comfort, and the way its aroma wakes us up. This simple habit is a central metaphor of coffee as a reminder for seeking spiritual renewal and refreshment each day. Just as our bodies use caffeine to get going, our spirits need God’s grace and presence each day to truly thrive.

Psalm 103:5 (NKJV)

5Who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

Lesson:  While coffee can give us a temporary boost, it’s God’s Spirit that truly satisfies us with good and gives us strength that helps us face each day with energy and hope.
