Aiming to Please

Greetings to all: May we all find comfort in genuine love and friendship this weekend.

While we should treat others with kindness and respect, we must not sacrifice our well-being to please them. Many relationships need healing because, at some point, one person discovers they are the only one aiming to please and to give, while the others are only taking. Ultimately, we should focus more on pleasing God than on pleasing others.

Galatians 1:10 (NRSV)

10 Am I now seeking human approval or God’s approval? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still pleasing people, I would not be a servant of Christ.

Lesson: It is important to look out for the interests of others. Having a humble heart and helping hands is an enriching approach to life. While pleasing others can be rewarding, balancing self-care while caring for others ensures we also care for ourselves.
