Seeking Approval

Greetings to all; on this Monday, as we begin a new week, let us make sure that we live our lives not for man's approval but for God's approval.

There is nothing wrong with giving or receiving approval. However, seeking the approval of others can hurt us when we seek the approval of others, thinking it will make our lives happier.

Galatians 1:10 (NIV)

10 Am I now trying to win men's or God's approval? Or am I trying to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a servant of Christ.

Lesson: Being secure in who we are in the sight of God weighs more than any heavy weight that comes with the seal of approval from people. When we live our lives for the approval of others, we will metaphorically die when we no longer receive their approval.
