Permission to Choose Yourself

Greetings to all. As we go through life, it's important to set boundaries and take breaks when needed.
Sometimes we end up feeling exhausted, especially if we forget to care for ourselves or set limits with others. Some people worry that choosing themselves means being selfish, but really, taking care of ourselves helps prevent burnout.
Mark 6:30–31 (NKJV)
30 Then the apostles gathered to Jesus and told Him all things, both what they had done and what they had taught.
31 And He said to them, “Come aside by yourselves to a deserted place and rest a while.” For there were many coming and going, and they did not even have time to eat.
Lesson: In today's scripture, Jesus encouraged the disciples to rest and make choices that were good for them. Taking care of ourselves is not selfish or about ignoring others. It also shows God that we respect Him by looking after ourselves.
