Greetings to all: This Sunday, those who lead, thank you for saying yes to God, and may God bless you. Thank you for your service!

There is no shortage of expectations that God will bless each of us, especially those in leadership roles. Leading in and through a crisis can be challenging, tiring, and demanding. Yet, having the opportunity to lead is and will always be a privilege in our homes, communities, or the church.

2 Kings 4:40–41 (NRSV)

40 They served some for the men to eat. But while they were eating the stew, they cried out, “O man of God, there is death in the pot!” They could not eat it.

41 He said, “Then bring some flour.” He threw it into the pot and said, “Serve the people and let them eat.” And there was nothing harmful in the pot.

Lesson: Crises are unavoidable and often lead to stress. Those chosen by God who are passionate and determined leaders can improve outcomes in difficult situations.
