Greetings to all; on this Saturday, let us be still and silent to rest in the presence of God.
Rest comes through the power of quietness, stillness, and reflection. The day after Jesus's death is described as a still, silent, holy day of mourning, rest, and reflection for all creation during Jesus's time in the tomb before His resurrection. It was the day the whole earth waited and hoped in stillness and quietness for the resurrection.
Luke 23:56 (GW)
56 Then they went back to the city and prepared spices and perfumes. But on the day of rest—a holy day, they rested according to the commandment.
Lesson: We all need quiet time to rest and reflect. We must learn not to take it personally when our leaders and others are silent. We can trust that God is always at work behind the scenes, in silence, and even when we do not see or understand it.
