Free From Impressing

Greetings to all; as we end another week, I pray that our actions were not for show but that we have practiced what was right in God's sight.

When we spotlight our good works and service, it has the potential to put us under pressure and stress by trying to impress and please those who do not matter. Whether what we do is done openly or secretly, our right motives are what pleases God. Be set free from impressing others.

Matthew 6:1 (GW)

1 "Be careful not to do your good work in public to attract attention. If you do, your Father in heaven will not reward you.

Lesson: It is God who rewards us. Our honest and pure motives free us from having to impress and will determine our value, not other people's opinions.
