Embrace New Paths in Faith

Greetings to all. As we go through life, let us not ignore the closed doors that force us to move on.

Sometimes, these doors aren’t as clear as a real door. Still, the situations we face can feel the same, urging us to move on and start something new. For some, Abraham’s story in today’s scripture is seen as a calling, while others see it as God preparing him for a great promise by moving him forward.

Genesis 12:1–3 (MSG)

1 GOD told Abram: “Leave your country, your family, and your father’s home for a land that I will show you.

2 I’ll make you a great nation and bless you. I’ll make you famous; you’ll be a blessing.

3 I’ll bless those who bless you; those who curse you I’ll curse. All the families of the Earth will be blessed through you.”

Lesson: Whether it feels like a calling or something we didn’t choose our journey of faith and the blessings that come with it start with obedience.
