Be Imperfect and Rest

Greetings to all. This weekend, let us rest, knowing that we are more than robots that require no rest.

Although we are humans, created in God's image, we are still beautifully flawed humans. Given our limited human abilities and imperfections, we require much-needed physical rest to keep going. Not being robots or machines gives us bragging rights that God created us to be in a relationship with Him. He gave us Jesus, knowing we could not be perfect.

Psalm 8:4–5 (GW)

4 what is a mortal that you remember him or the Son of Man that you take care of him? 

5 You have made him a little lower than yourself.  You have crowned him with glory and honor. 

Lesson: Being a robot would be much easier because of the need not to rest. While our humanity reminds us of the importance of rest, thankfully, our perfect God encourages us to rest. Let us embrace our limitations and imperfections and rest.
