A Better Promise

Greetings to all. This Sunday, as we worship, let us praise God for the better promise of a new covenant.

God always keeps His promises! Because He does, we have the surety of eternal life. Because of the deficiency of the old covenant in not assuring us eternal life, God has given us a better promise in the new covenant through Jesus Christ.

Hebrews 8:7,10 (KJV 1900)

7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second.

10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:

Lesson: A better promise from God is necessary for a better covenant without flaws and faults fulfilled and fulfilled by Jesus.
